Hi,

My wife and I are moving from Chicago to the Bay Area. Her job is in SF and she wants to stay in San Mateo close to Caltrain. Does anyone know of any 2 bedroom homes, duplexes etc. for rent? Approx. rent that we are looking for is $2000. I would prefer a home or a duplex but an apartment complex (not a high rise) would be okay.

Do let me know.
thanks a lot.

Try here: classifieds - craigslist

I can give you more info on neighborhoods, if you find a place that looks interesting... and you might want to check out Hillsdale Garden apts, which are townhouse units near Caltrain & the mall. I don't know for sure, but they look nice! Hillsdale Garden Apartments in San Mateo, CA - San Mateo, California Apartment Rentals | Essex Property Trust

Essex is a good company, they also own most of the apartment complexes in Belmont. Those are some pretty old apartments for the money though.
