For me: usually 45 hours a week, sometime it spikes to 60 hours during (extremely) busy periods.

Now that I am at the senior staff level, I work 40-45 hours and strange hours at that (phone calls in the night). When I was just an associate or staff, I would work sometimes...60-80 hours a week, nights and over weekends. It really sucked, but we all did it, many a night I spent sleeping under my desk. Maybe soon I will hit Principle and actually work a "Forty".

I've been working 30 hours a week for the last year, but just got approved for full-time (probably starting in April) - which will be 37.5 hours. I work in a city job, so there's no "overtime" or anything like that... what I'm scheduled for is what I do, or at least all I get paid for!

I work a 40-hour work week plus about 10 extra hours of what I actually enjoy doing - teaching music. If I can get about an extra 5 hours of work in the latter I can quit my day job and then I will be happy as a clam.. that should take about another 4-6 months at the current rate.

State puts my limit at 40 hours/wk for the day job, so extra comes from the concert production stuff, which one can select when and where one shall accept doing a show (Shoreline, HP Pavilion, etc.), and for how long. Very nice for when you need extra money or on-the-job experience as a backup for a potential layoff. Free concert pass ain't bad, either.

I work in the public sector, so it's a straight 40 hour workweek. Although I know some low level supervisors (the level above me) regularly work more like 45, even though they don't get paid for it.

I do public service so do work some nights and weekends.

I'm usually between 65-80 a week, but I am building a business and I enjoy what I do, so I don't mind. Plus I'm only 30, work with my wife, and have no kids, so what the hell else am I going to do with my time??
