I just spent 2 years in Southern California, we moved back to the Bay 2 months ago and
my complaining has went down an order of magnitude.
It has been such an amazing transformation back to the Bay. Life is easier here; traffic is better, weather changes (constant sun = grumps), green vs dirt, we can actually walk places to eat, shop, and have conversation.
I have had yet another awesome day in Redwood City, window was open all night getting fresh air off the Bay, I walked over to my local drip coffee joint (The Grind = best), got a hot cup of joe and a movie from next door, come back to my townhouse and worked for a few hours, plans to head up to Skyline for some fog mountain biking after work
, taking my daughter to local library via a walk after that...
I love it here, I hope to never leave again.
