This forum is dead. There should be only one forum for the Greater Bay Area.

Why don't you just quit posting? If nobody posts then this forum area is effectively dead.

Think locally, act globally.

Co-signed. This forum has never been as active as even San Francisco, which is itself very sleepy.

I agree with the merge into 1 BayArea forum.

3 reasons for the Bay Area forums being dead:

1) BayArea folks are so internet adept, that we branch out to more forums than just this (Yelp, Topics, Craigs) :-)
2) People in the Bay are pretty happy, so there is little to complain about or move away from.
3) It's too expensive for people to move into.

Every opinion poll Ive seen agrees.

People in the Bay Area are overwhelmingly pleased with their quality of life. 70% of BA residents like living in CA. The BA is the only region where more than half of respondents feel that way.

What's going on in the rest of the state?

Yeah, just look at the odd social commentary in the SoCal forums. Seems a rather tense place.

I definitely notice that in the threads.

I just spent 2 years in Southern California, we moved back to the Bay 2 months ago and my complaining has went down an order of magnitude.

It has been such an amazing transformation back to the Bay. Life is easier here; traffic is better, weather changes (constant sun = grumps), green vs dirt, we can actually walk places to eat, shop, and have conversation.

I have had yet another awesome day in Redwood City, window was open all night getting fresh air off the Bay, I walked over to my local drip coffee joint (The Grind = best), got a hot cup of joe and a movie from next door, come back to my townhouse and worked for a few hours, plans to head up to Skyline for some fog mountain biking after work , taking my daughter to local library via a walk after that...

I love it here, I hope to never leave again.

Like what? I don't really see what you're talking about.
