I make 100k as a senior systems analyst (maintaining and implementing Web-based enterprise application software - focus is IIS, Tomcat, Apache, etc) working in a Chicago suburb. I've always dreamed of working for some hip company in Silicon Valley. I lived in Seattle for 2 years and worked at Microsoft and some Web companies which I loved. I miss the west coast companies. I have about 12 years experience and feel like I have developed my career well enough to work anywhere. Could I find something in the valley that would pay the same or more and be happy? It doesn't have to be Google or Apple. It can be a start-up or smaller established tech company. I just want it to be all tech. Advice and ideas appreciated. Thanks.

There are Web 2.0 start ups all over the Bay Area. Quite a few of them concentrated in the SOMA area of The City. Try Craigslist.
