Hi.. I currently commute to and from Pleasanton from Cambrian Area. We are looking to move to Silvercreek Area, and I wanted to know how bad 101S or 101N is during commute rush hour. I know 680/280/17 like the back of my hand, and currently takes me about 50-60 minutes. However as I am driving by either the Capitol Expressway or 101 exits/flyovers from 680/280... both look jam packed. How much extra time would I need to allot to take either ones North/South?

Does anyone currently have this commute, and can offer better route options?

Thanks everyone

SH

101N is not bad if your on it by 4:00pm same with 101S. after 5 it gets a lil thick. Its not as bad as 880 by any stretch. also you want to be on 101N/S before 7:30am. To where from where will you be going using 101? like what part of 101 will you be on Exit to Exit? I ask because in MT.View 101 and 85 merge and it gets thick, then smooth after..Then 101 and 87 merge and its real bad, then smoothes out, but the holy of holys is 101S and Tully Rd exit....YIKES.

Use Capitol Expressway and 680.. moves a lot better than the metering lights and the flyover of doom.
