Thanks everyone for the useful information and advice!! Sounds like people in Santa Fe are really nice and friendly !

It is true that google street views don't really explain how streets look! We will make sure to visit the locations suggested.

It seems like people don't start advertising for rental homes/apartments until the month the place becomes vacant in Santa Fe. All of the ads I checked out say "available now", and I'm thinking that they probably don't want to wait till July to start the lease..

So, we may end up signing the lease over the internet/phone/fax right before our move without seeing the place. At least, we can at least figure out which neighborhood/community we like!

Yikes! If you can make a trip I'd certainly recommend it! When we were looking at places we often got good or bad vibes just by driving through the parking lot!

Good luck!

I just saw this post.
A couple of weeks ago I was in Albuquerque. On a Saturday afternoon I saw an unmarked 737, similar to JANET Air on approach to ABQ. It was a white 737 with a double red stripe along the windows. I know JANET only flies between Area 51 and Las Vegas and I think EG&G is the contractor. Any idea what plane this was?
Is there another JANET-esque contractor out there? Thanks. You can replay to rhsachs201@gmail.com
