I don't have allergies, but my dog does. I moved here in March, and he's been 100% allergy-free since moving here (from NYC), so that means the juniper didn't bother him. But I'm bracing myself for whatever rears its ugly head in the fall.
I'm hoping whatever he was allergic to was NYC-specific. His flare-ups last year were in mid-July and again in October.

ragweed - it's here too. Tumbleweeds - fortunately I don't have many around my house anymore.
Could it be the lack of fleas here vs NY area? When I moved here many years ago I found that my dogs were no longer bothered by fleas - they used to get flea allergies in California.
Could be -- he did actually get fleas once in NYC, despite monthly preventative.
Regarding ragweed -- that might be it, but that comes later in the summer in NYC, so it doesn't quite line up with his issues. He was REALLY bad in 2010 basically all summer, then in 2011 it was the worst in mid-July and then in October. We shall see...
