I was thinking of signing up at the new Planet Fitness in Santa Fe. The Google reviews seem mostly positive. Has anyone been there?

I'm mostly just looking to get on the treadmill, walk my 5k, and that's about it. Due to allergies and my erratic schedule, walking outside really isn;t a good option for me. The Gym in Eldorado is closest to where I live, but t's not 24 hours and kind of expensive since all I want is to use a treadmill.

I'm a member of Planet Fitness here in El Paso and my experience, at several locations, has been that the facilities are very nice, the people are friendly and the no-judgment environment is real and consistent. Its all people of different fitness levels going about their routine without any apparent self-consciousness.

My daughter has been using the Planet Fitness in Rio Rancho for a year or two. She likes it...

I just started Planet Fitness in LC and I agree with all the previous positive posts. I just need to get into a consistent routine. Very clean, easy to use, courteous staff, everyone is doing their own program and no one bothers you. It fits what I need. I use the treadmill and cycle as my walking the track at the university was just too inconvenient- had to work my walk in around their schedule as they have a track program, of course. I do have to say that whenever my schedule at the university track accidentally overlapped the students' time, their coaches were absolutely courteous and welcoming, insisting that I get my walk in. Planet Fitness fits my needs very well at this time.

OP, contrary to the reports here so far, a couple of friends of a friend checked out the new one in Santa Fe, and felt self-conscious there. They said they didn't like the vibe. Maybe they hit it at the wrong time, IDK. I'll try to find out more. In the photos online, it looks like it has a separate room designed for people doing a quick 1/2-hr. circuit, so that you don't have to be in a big barn-like area with a lot of other people, everyone on the same machine. I was considering joining, but decided to go back to the Fort Marcy facility. It's the cheapest, and has a friendly atmosphere, though it's closed on Sundays.

The Planet Fitness Website states that membership at the Santa Fe location is $10 per month for the basic plan and $19.99 per month for the black card plan. The Website for the Ft. Marcy Complex states that an adult membership is $40 for one month, $100 for three months and $295 for a year. Were you able to get a lower rate?

What are the costs for the one in Eldorado and Planet Fitness. I pay 40 something a month here in OK but Santa Fe is at the top of my list if and when this cattle ranch of ours sells.
