I am planning on Moving out west over the next year and am looking at Northern NM. I rely on a dependable Internet connection from home for my job. Obviously, the more metropolitan and area is the more reliable the internet will be, but don't necessarily want to be in the city. One town that has struck my interest for is Taos, but if the internet is going to be unreliable through the winter then I'd have to write it off. Any info is appreciated, along with preferred ISP's, it would be nice to get a Fiber line.

Thank you,

Comcast serves some of Taos and Century Link (DSL) also serves some of Taos. Kit Carson Electric Coop is also there (with internet). I suggest that you look into those to determine where, specifically, they serve and what services they offer. It's a small mountain town, so your choices will be more limited.

According to their website I see Xfinity (Comcast) offering 25 mbps in Taos. Not sure what your requirements are, but that's fairly slow compared to what I'm used to. I'm not in Taos so can't comment on the reliability.
