I guess if you want the New Jersey site to have city subforums, you need to appeal to the moderator there and ask for it.
I think we have EnjoyEP to thank for the addition of the Santa Fe and Las Cruces forums; people had asked for them, so he went to the higher ups and asked.
I have no way of knowing if the mod(s) for NJ have asked for city forums; can't imagine their request would not be granted as EnjoyEP's was.

No, that was bandied about Towanda. If someone from the NJ forum was reading this, they'd concur with what I am about to say to you: NJ is very different from every other state, in that there are a lot of people, but not a real defined major city the likes of SF, ABQ, or for that matter, even LC. There was scuttlebut to make a regional fraction of Northern vs Southern NJ, but nothing ever really came out of it, primarily because 8 to 9 out of every 10 posts would come from Northern NJ.
This format probably makes sense, because it really divides up I think equally the amount of posts that will come out of these 4 forums from now on. I think the majority of NM general posts were questions/comments about either Santa Fe or Las Cruces, probably approaching 50% of the threads. Now, you'll likely see a better balance. Plus, it improves the quality of the NM general board.
Indeed, this is the way it seems many state forums do it. New Jersey is one of those rare instances where it just wouldn't work.
Hey Lovehound, today was a close-to-perfect day here....around 70º, late afternoon storms around the city, beautiful sunset this evening. Tomorrow is going to be more of the same!
I'm so envious it almost tears my eyes. Every day the last few weeks has been too hot in Los Angeles, and that's the forecast too. I'm stuck until the housing market improves, until I can sell my present house and buy my new house. The gas price crisis makes it unlikely I can even visit SF.
The only consolation is all the millions of people who are in the same situation as me. It's difficult to feel sorry for myself when so many others share my plight. I'm left with a sense of futile frustration.
Well I have something to look forward to and it may be my first day as an SF resident. Only time will tell.
I'm lost....where am I? A Santa Fe forum....I guess we made the big time! Just a reminder that next week the live music on the plaza starts! Monday-Thursday at 6 and Tu & Th at lunchtime. Good timing. I just swore off working through lunch.
Hi lisdol! I seem to have missed all the rain. I was at the college last night and when I got home it had poured. I still haven't seen a really good New Mexico thunderstorm since I've been back--just the rumblings in the distance.
Would one of you wonderful Santa Fe folks be kind enough to start a "Favorite Santa Fe Restaurant" discussion (maybe it will get pinned to the top, too!)? I'd love to know where to eat when I'm in SF
I stickied an old existing Santa Fe Restaurants thread.
Thanks for the suggestion.
