In the Albuquerque Journal today - section C

A woman taking a bath was surprised by a couple of intruders.

She got up/out, got her revolver and pointed it at them.

She is quoted as saying she would have shot him had he moved
an inch closer. She *did* discharge the firearm outdoors.

How was that bath last night? (This was in Eldorado.)

It could have been me -- and I am not so sure I would have missed my target!!!

The article said that they were intruding, but didn't say that they
were checking in on the bathing activity.

The article *did* mention that the woman put on a towel before
getting her gun or, at least, that she had a towel on for the
actual confrontation.

Uncle Budda might not have needed the gun. Just showing up
butt-nekkid-dripping-wet might have put the 'scare' in the intruders.

I guess I would have to say in a situation like this, my gun would always have to come first!!!

Off course if I hit my targets, there would be no witnesses left to describe what they saw.

It's hard to tell which post your were responding to and Towanda is armed and presumably, dangerous.

This is all humorous now, however I noticed that the woman said she was firing at one intruder as he fled her house, and that as she shot, he might have fell. If this man dies, the woman very likely would be charged with murder. You cannot fire at someone in NM who is fleeing, especially outside your house. She may live to regret her Dirty Harry attitude.
