Well, on November 19, Santa Fe Municipal Airport will be getting two additional flights from American Eagle. The two additional flights include a second flight to Dallas/Ft. Worth International Airport (DFW), as well as a flight into Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).

So far, American Eagle's current flight from Santa Fe to Dallas has been a surprising success, considering that the Albuquerque Sunport has a large Southwest Airlines operation. It looks like Santa Fe residents are willing to pay for convienience. However, it remains to be seen if the additional flights will be successful. I know the film industry has been asking for the Santa Fe-Los Angeles flight.

If all of these flights succeed, I wonder if more airlines will soon serve the Santa Fe Airport. I know that Delta Connection was once planning on flying into Santa Fe from Los Angeles and Salt Lake City via ExpressJet. Those plans have been canned a while ago, due to "changed economic conditions" and the fact that Delta has terminated their Connection agreement with ExpressJet. Perhaps if American Eagle's flights succeed, we coudl see Delta Connection reconsider the Salt Lake City-Santa Fe flight, perhaps being operated by SkyWest instead.

The direct flights from LA will be good news for the tourism and movie industries. Maybe they will even perk up the real estate scene.

As long as they can arrange their flight patterns around the Pueblo land, it might happen.
