I am Looking for work in Edgewood , Nm My spouse is military and we are buying a home in Edgewood will be there in June 2010 as we plan on retiring. I am a certified pet groomer, member of the National dog Groomers Assoc. and an AKC Canine Good Citizen evaluator. Several years experience working with dogs, ASPCA, Fostering, showing, running a doggie day care etc.. I will be in need of of work. Does the Edgewood area have local shops or is there enough dogs to support another shop? Do any of the Vet clinics offer grooming services. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
There is a free standing local pet grooming business on 66. We have moved here recently so not totally familiar with all that is available. There are a few self wash facilities in ABQ, as well as many grooming - which is only 45 to 50 minutes away. Many people commute to the city for work. Not sure if a mobile groooming could work for the Tijeras, Cedar Crest area. Good luck and welcome to this wonderful area.
