Sorry HighDesert888 - I call it like I see it.
With the recent political discourse, for instance, I feel it's totally within my rights to call out a particular politician for ludicrous and ridiculous statements. Is that politician entitled to his own opinions - sure; but so am I. If more people confronted lies presented as facts we might have a more educated electorate. Similarly, if I see a post that I do not think is factual and does nothing to help our readers know more about our community I feel obligated to respond. That's not to say I'm always right, but my motives are to educate and inform. I really do hate this post-truth period we've entered into, and I'll fight it with facts.

In my several months of living in Santa Fe I got the feeling Santa Fe is cosmopolitan (for a small city) to not have any negativity against LGBT although I doubt you'd find LGBT bars. I don't know, I'm hetero and didn't check out the scene.

Santa Fe is well known for their art community (despite their few artist material retail stores) and artists are known as well tolerant lifestyles such as LGBT.

Go visit for a few months, explore and see what your reception is.
