We are moving out of Turtle Rock () just a few streets down and I need some moving boxes. I remember when we moved here last year I found a great place for boxes but now I can't remember where I saw it. Anyone have ideas where I can look (outside of the usual call Publix and stuff). Thanks.

with all the families on the board here that are moving into the area maybe you could DM them and pick them up after they unpack.

you can scrounge them behind the stores that dont have a compactor. i would say best place would be a liquor store.

with that said......we just moved down here and bought boxes at home depot. mostly used the medium and large sizes. advantage to buying them are that they are uniform size and easier to stack in the truck thereby saving alot of space and time stacking. and they arent that espensive.

Thanks. For all the times we have moved, I never thought of the liquor store.

liquor stores often cut their boxes down as they stock because they have to be flat to be out for trash in some areas so you can't count on using them if you find them outside--

go to store and ask when they get their deliveries--usually it is on specific days--
tell them you would like some boxes and hopefully they will set some aside for you

Dollar stores are a good place. The one by me flattens them and puts them on a cart until the cart fills up. That way you can get them before they go outside. Then you re tape the bottoms at home .

Ah, I like the dollar store idea. I'm going to call today.

Turtle Rock is in Palmer Ranch on Central Sara. PKWY in between McIntosh and Honore.
