We are going out tonight to try to find one of those big beach tent things..not a typical tent with sides, just a nice top for covering. We have a large family with more family visiting starting tomorrow. Any ideas where we can get one? And I'm hoping to find one that is easy to set up/take down. We got our trusty beach cart thingy at Bed Bath and Beyond which has been a life saver! Is there a sports/camping store around here like Dick's or Galyan's?

I got mine at Sears. If you are going to invest in a good one (mine was around $120) make sure the canopy has an SPF rating. Also mine came with one side wall to attach for shade if I like. It is nice to have.... Make sure the case has wheels, I have the cart from BBB and it's best to roll the tent separately.

yeah--I was going to say that it is better to get something that has a solid side like some of the beach cabana things I see on-line where you can move it around to cast shade
having just a tent top depends a lot on where the sun is as to if you will be in shade under it or not...

if you get a beach cart make sure it has the really big--wide tread--tires
bought my daughter a collapseable wagon with sides out of canvas like material--they love it but the wheels are not really big enough to make pulling it on the sand easy...
her husband is going to try to replace the original wheels with some larger-dune buggy style ones...

some people even said they used a large snow sled/toboggan they brought down from up north to pile stuff on and drag over the sand...no wheels to clog down

Found one and broke it in today at the beach! Got it from Home Depot for $100. The holder does have wheels and was very easy to put up/take down. LOVE IT!!

I bet those snow sleds we used up north woulda done good on the sand!! Nice to know though, we'll have to get one of those for sure, between the cooler, umbrella, towels, numerous kinds of sunscreen AND ALLLLL the sandtoys and wakeboards.. UGH! Sounds great!!
