geico canceled my homeowners insurance in florida because it's taking me longer to move from texass than i had ever imagined. they say that i have to get "vacant home" insurance at 12X the price. i need some suggestions for some good insurance companies in the north port area.

My home in Ct remains without insurance because we haven't moved in,want $1680 for 6 months.

our home is unoccupied 9 months of the year -we also pay around $1700 pa via Satin Jones at Allstate.

apparently it will reduce when we move in

There's a lady who posts on this forum named Virginia (gettinouttajersey, help me out with her last name). I've found her rates to be very competitive and she seems to know her stuff as well. If you're shopping rates you might want to give her a call. I believe she's with AAA.

Satin over at Allstate Ezzi Insurance in Punta Gorda, is another option as well.

as i have written a bunch on here she saved us over 3200 bucks on flood this year.
