School opens today for students--
School zones in force--
Be careful and watch for kids on bikes and walking on their own...
also moms/dads dropping them off...

I know we laugh about the number of retired people in this area but there are plenty of kids as well...
and I assume that police will be patrolling school zones for speeders....

Yes, there was a light rain this morning. The streets are still wet down here though.

It was POURING at the bus stop this morning here in Bradenton! Hope the weather breaks for the afternoon pick-up/bus rides.

a light rain? lol How long do i live in FL to think that was a light rain? It was actually torrential when we dropped off at 9 but you were probably there earlier. It was insane - the rain was going sideways under the walkway covers. So many kids were soak to the bone. I am worried about them all sitting there in the a/c shivering with soaked sneakers & socks. It was the most insane 1st day back at school ever! But it was also alot of FUN! I ran to walmart & bought them ponchos and dropped them off at the office so they can stay dry later.

I can't wait to see how the kids like the 1st day at a new school!

It was raining lightly until about 11, when I had to show property. Then it was coming down in buckets.
