What do those of who use it, pay for lawn care service? Being new here and never having hired anyone to mow for me, I have no idea of what a good price is or what is considered high. I just need simple mowing, edging and trimming done.(a 1/4 acre) Any help or if anyone has a favorite business they use and they are reasonably priced (affordable) please PM me with info. thanks...

I pay $80/month for a guy to come round once a week. My lot is a quarter acre too.

When we first got here, we just let the previous owner's guys keep doing it for $110/mo., but I let them go almost immediately when they didn't show and didn't return my calls in the first week.

I found my guy now when I was out walking the dog. He's about 70, always smiling, always shows up, and does a great job. Sometimes he has his wife with him, and sometimes he doesn't. He has 25 years on me, and if I tried to do his job, I would die on the first August day.

Keep an eye on your neighbors' yards. See whose looks best. Either ask for a referral or just approach the guys when you see them.

That is VERY cheap for a once a week mowing plus extras. the going rate is close to $100per month average year-round price for mow and trim with occasional hedgetrim or other extras.
