Construction on I-75; Drive from Ft. Myers to Sarasota

I live in Venice, my office is off Bee Ridge in Sarasota. I drive to Ft. Myers 2 days a week and rarely hit heavy traffic. 75 on the commute during rush hour am or pm is not usually bad unless some idiot driving like Steve Mcqueen causes a wreck.

You are welcome scarlett. Between Venice and Northport is where you will encounter most slowdowns, usually there is no accident, just a bottleneck that lasts until you pass river road heading south

I dislike RT 75 so use 41 all the time.

I too dislike using I-75 and will take RT 41 whenever possible to go north or south of Englewood ,because I have been stuck in bumper to bumper traffic a few times now, trying to go north from River Rd (forget the exit number) and like you are saying, you can make pretty good time on 41, and its less chance of getting stuck in traffic from an accident or worse yet getting into one yourself !
