Does anyone know where to get a real Chicago Style hot dog around here? I don't mean one of those yellow bologna dogs, I mean a Chicago Red Hot or Vienna.

Calling Rushmore, calling Rushmore. If anyone knows it's probably Rushmore or if you need him to check out a new food joint he's probably up for that too.

Tony's Chicago Beef Company

I had a Maxwell St. sausage sandwich in here. It was exceptional.

I'm beginning to think I eat too much. Or at least, I eat away from home too much.

And ironically, I can actually cook!

I second Tony's. Great place. Complete with REAL hot peppers. My only wish is they had more tables. One table and stools on a counter does not really do it for my wife. She also does not like the fact they do not have ice for her water. That's OK. It just means I go there by myself. Oh yea, And they only take cash.

Thanks for the info. I was looking at Tony's site and there's no mention of Vienna or Chicago Red Hot. What kind of dogs are they. You can't just dress up a cheap dog. That would be like putting nice paint on an outhouse, or, lipstick on a pig, or, well you get it.

They make their own. And they do have a nice snap to them. A dog and fries for $3. You can't beat that.

Snap is good - if there's beef inside. In case you all didn't know, we take our dogs very serious in Chicago.

I'm not from Chicago, but have spent time there performing with a music group. And I know they take their dogs seriously. The big thing with me is not really the dog, it's the hot peppers. You can't find those hot peppers just anywhere. In fact, I buy a jar every time I'm in Tony's. They are a little saltier than I remember, but they are still better than anything else.
