Thank you for the welcome and YES I will keep you posted of how it all goes! We need to sell our home here and are 95% sure the people that own a company behind us are VERY interested in buying it for the land. We have talked money already and while we don't have anything in writing we are fairly confident we will have a sale. Not going to be making much on the sale but we want OUT and this is the easiest way to get rid of our old house. Hopefully no fuss no muss. To be continued.............

Our real-estate agent(s) were wonderful and to anyone doing this, having people that you TRUST is a must. They hooked us up with the mortgage broker and the financing part was a bit of HELL but we knew we would be approved just had a lot of hoops to jump through and we did it.

Now sitting up North in the snow REALLY bites that we own a home in Florida but we know it will be there waiting for us when we return! This has been 5 years of planning but we are almost home!!

Yes, it is difficult at times knowing you own a beautiful home in Florida when you are clearing out your snowy driveway during a blizzard and coping with 11 degrees below zero weather......hearing our Florida friends complaining about it being in the 50's....

But on the bright side it is nice knowing your future. I have our Florida home as wallpaper on both Macs, and my wife has a little sign on our fridge saying "Everyday we are one day closer to Florida and retirement." With the friends we've made down there and the many good times we have already been down there it should be a smooth transition. It is so funny when we have Florida friends call US to ask how to get somewhere down there, or for advice on where to get this, who can help us with that, etc. We are knowledgeable about the area already, and really feel at home there. 67 more days until our next trip.....but who's counting.......

Until then we are keeping very busy preparing our NY home for sale.

Frank
