That's cool! I wish I would have known you were out there! She was trying to skim as well but there were no waves to speak of.

it's funny because I thought she looked familiar but didn't know from where! lol We were actually right next to you because I watched her bring the kayak down to the water! we had a lean-to style pop up tent off to your left. My brother in law was here with his family and we tried to go to Siesta Key beach but no parking then went to Nokomis. it was a fun day but brrrrrrr the water is still cold!!

Holy crowded springs, batman! In my 37 years in Englewood, I have never been there. The beach looks much more my speed.

@Coastal-Yeah is was a zoo because it was only $5 for parking. Normally, it's $20 per person to get in.

Many European visitor frequent the Springs. They (the Springs) tout it as the "Fountain of Youth".

It's OK and the kids had a good time. The bottom is kind of mucky and rocky and it smells like rotten eggs due to the minerals in the water. The water is 87 degrees year round: Warm Mineral Springs || About Us (http://www.warmmineralsprings.com/healing_waters.html - broken link)

@Jnanner-That kayak was given to us about a year ago. This was the first time we went took it out. It has a camouflage pattern on it. My daughter thought that was funny.
