Morning everyone!

I am moving to FL this year and will be working in Riverview. I am trying to find a nice sub that is tropical looking (palm trees, nice flowers/plants) and family friendly but have no idea what city I should be looking in. I have vacationed in Anna Maria for years however can not afford anything on the water. Sarasota is beautiful but I fear the drive is to far.

I am seeking low crime, good schools, tropical family home 3+ bedrooms under $250,000. Should I stay away from short sales?

I am posting on the Tampa board as well because I don't know if it's better to live near Tampa or near Bradenton.

I appreciate all your help. I'm sure you get these questions all the time and they truely do help someone like myself who is relocating their family somewhere completely different than cold Michigan.

How much of a commute can you tolerate? Riverview is kind of rural and east. The tropical look you desire is going to be further west near beaches.
