I'm looking for a 1br condo in Sarasota / Bradenton. I currently live in Palmer Ranch. An ideal property would have a pool, hot tub, allow dogs, and have at least some younger people (I'm 25). I would like to be in the area near around University, but still near a beach (under 5 miles). What would you folks recommend? Thanks in advance.

You looking to rent or buy?
Most rental condominiums do not allow renters with pets.
What section of University; if you're talking near I-75 you're nowhere near under your five mile radius of getting to the beach.
You'd be better off searching downtown Sarasota if you want beach proximity.

One of our posters here, Oobie, could give recommendations on condos on the West side of Bradenton. You could put in a search of her posts or send her a DM. Then you could be close to the gorgeous beaches of Anna Maria.

Rent. I've had my dog with me this year in my rental in Palmer Ranch, just had to pay a deposit. I guess I don't necessarily mean university, just in the north Sarasota area, because Palmer Ranch is kind of far from my work.

Is Lakewood Ranch a good bet for a younger crowd? I found plenty of pet friendly apts in the area.
