After 4 months of crazy stress we FINALLY closed on our new house last Friday!! It was a ridiculous process from start to finish with problems almost every step of the way. From finding the house in this competitive market, to dealing with buying a short sale, to our own financing issues...it was a completely different experience than either of our 2 previously bought houses. It was a nail biter up until the very end, the morning before closing we still didn't have clear to close and the seller's bank wasn't willing to extend the closing date past Friday (already extended twice) so we probably would have had to start from scratch with finding another place if we weren't able to close on Friday.

I have to say that our realtor, TamRE, was awesome! Very nice and extremely helpful every step of the way. If you are looking to buy in NP or PC I highly recommend contacting her. She was always positive and encouraging and listened to me venting stress a lot throughout the process. So, thanks again TamRE!!

It was all worth it though, we got a great deal on a great house in a great neighborhood so we are very happy!

Congrats!! I'm am glad everything went well!! Short sales are a nightmare, and normally not worth the aggrivation, I'm glad you dealt with someone that really knew the things you needed, and having that experience to keep you on course when things get off kilter helps too.

Don't leave us now that your here! OK?

Great job TamRe as well.

Sooooo, when are you moving?

Thanks Big House!

I have been a lurker on this board for awhile and only posted a few times. We have lived here for about 4 years and never really thought we would buy and settle here (we were considering Lakewood Ranch and still may end up there in the future), but the prices are great right now if you can score a deal and we have lots of great friends here now so it feels right.

We have some work to do on the house but are hoping to move in by the end of this month. I need to start packing!
