I really like the terrazzo I have seen also. It seems very durable, and would require little maintenance. Any idea of cost of installation? Would you do the whole house, approx 1300 sq. ft., or just some rooms? Do you know how thick the terrazzo material would be over the concrete?
Thank you.

CNY.... Be sure to check your existing slab for any cracking or movement. Remember that if there is any, it will eventually transfer up through any non-pliable floor. Also remember to check to see if you have plumbing in that slab and if there are any concerns about its condition. If you ever need to access it, you need a material that can be patched.

Wow! I knew it was expensive but had no idea it was THAT expensive! Still, it's a floor that never needs replacing and it is so beautiful and easy care. I think they make terrazzo tiles, and that could be an option that would be way less expensive.
