Looking to purchase a home on the canals in Bradenton, have been reading about the city and am concerned about the crime. Anyone have thoughts on this area?

I haven't heard anything about that area having a particularly bad problem but you might contact the Manatee Sheriff's Office for information. They keep stats and can guide you in that way. ther's also a website: Manatee County Sheriff's Office - Dispatched Calls (http://www.manateesheriff.com/wps/portal/PublicInterest/ActiveCalls/ - broken link) where you can get an idea of what goes on around the area.
