There are many other communities within the LWR area that do not have CDD fee's. Lakewood Ranch is a lovely area. I personally love the fact it still has vacant land for build out meaning there is still room for growth and newer homes. Some of the older phased out communities consist of homes built in the 90's, which don't get me wrong are still very nice, but they usually require some updating. Good luck, remember the feedback from this board is just opinions of everyones view. Do your homework.

I think this is spot on advice. My husband worked in Sarasota the July and August of 2010 and stayed at one of the airport hotels and I flied in and out to see him on weekends. It was so convenient for EVERYTHING. Not kidding, all the beaches in close proximity, downtown, etc.
