My fiance and I are from New York and will be coming to Northport at the end of March. We would like to get married on the beach. It will be a very small ceremony. What do we need to do and who do we need to contact to make this happen?

Let us know how it turns out. My step-daughter is getting married in the Spring of 2013 and wants a beach wedding in Sarasota.

Default one New Yorker to Another

I have been searching myself for beach wedding destinations in this area. They are all over. From extravigant and expensive, to simple and cheap. floridabeachweddings.com help us to find this place called Anna Maria Island.

we went to a wedding a few months ago right at the tip of Boca Grande. i dont think you even need to notify anyone just turn up with someone licensed to perform the ceremony....

we got married on FMB outside a house we rented right on the beach with about 20 guests -again we got the minister and 'just did it'..............

My son and his wife got married at Boca Grande too. Beautiful sunset wedding. They checked it out and didn't have to notify anyone. The wedding party and guests showed up along with the Notary. We had extra guests (residents apparently) on golf carts that rode down to watch the ceremony.

After the ceremony we left and had the reception elsewhere.
