I want the freedom of going down to my place whenever I want... with my schedule I can not plan out in advance..

I'm also a Jerseyite. I love flying Jet Blue into Sarasota from JFK but it's more money. We usually fly Jet Blue into Tampa. That airport is a pleasure. The problem with flying Jet Blue from Newark to Tampa or JFK to Sarasota is there are very few flights each day. If your flight is cancelled for any reason you could be stuck. However when you factor in a car service or car rental from Tampa the cost diff between Tampa vs Sarasota disappears.It's a pleasant commute from Tampa to Sarasota- one highway and about 50 mins.
