If you want to be in the safest area of Sarasota but still be closest to the best shopping and beaches in the USA you need to be in a gated community east of the Legacy Trail, north of 681, South of Rt. 72 and west of Rt. 75. I used my own proprietary formula for deducing these beautiful safe havens. Not many homes for sale left within these parameters. Snap up and secure your beautiful slice of pie in Sarasota, Florida. The best flood-proof, school-smart, investment money can buy. Alas, but it's not crazy/genius-proof.

Just as there are parameters/coordinates of crime areas - example: north of fruitville and east of 41.
