Hello, I was wondering if Venice Beach is still closed. I know it was having bacteria problems again, but hadn't heard whether it had reopened. Thanks!

not sure whether you can swim there yet or not. However, they never really close a beach when bacterial counts cause issues. You just can't go in the water. Maybe that's what you were asking about - whether you could swim? Surely someone else will answer that one shortly

Yes, if you want to swim, it's okay.
They can't seem to determine what is causing it, but last week the bacteria level was high, so I sort of agree with nphomeowner, although there are no swim advisory warnings posted as far as I know.
We all have different tolerances to bacteria, and I wouldn't want to bathe in water just after a no-swim advisory was posted, whether it's from storm water runoff or human waste. Really sad that this is happening again, especially during the busy season, although there's no shortage of visitors here.
However, the weather is warm, and the swimming pools are very refreshing!
Where else can you say that in February?
