I had severe spring-time allergies when I lived in Pennsylvania & Virginia. Then I moved to South Carolina and the allergies disappeared. Now I'm moving to Sarasota next week and in my visits there the past year in Spring, Summer and Fall I have not noticed any increase in allergic reactions.

I had allergies in NY and they are much less noticeable down here. I do get watery eyes and sneezing certain times of the year when I am out working in my yard or flower bed or walking the dog. But in NY I had to take allergy meds and I got a lot of sinus headaches and sinus infections, but I don't get that in FL and I no longer have to take allergy meds. I don't know what I am allergic to though. It is something outside. They tell you on the news when the pollen count is up, so you can just avoid outdoor activity when it is high.

My husbands allergies seem to be worse here than they were up North. Seems that something is always in bloom. I have no idea about ragweed specifically or if we even have it here.

I haven't noticed any rag weed issues. Oak and pine pollen seem to be the allergy problem where I live. Of coarse, I am in an area that is loaded with old florida oaks and pines.

I never have allergy issues when I'm in Florida. In Wisconsin, even in the dead of winter, i have problems.
