Rush hour traffic /neighborhoods (Tamiami, Sarasota: rentals, homes, good schools)

We are trying to narrow down a place to live. We really like LWR but its about a 20 mile drive to where my husband will be working in Sarasota off of Bee Ridge and South Tamiami Trail. A friend of mine lives in Lakewood Ranch and says traffic is not bad but shes a stay at home mom so Im dont think she really knows how it is. My husband commutes now to downtown Dallas, and its a 30 mile ride but takes an hour due to traffic, then if an accident happens its twice as long. He doesnt want to have to commute like that again. Im trying to figure out how traffic is heading that way. We use to live in Fort lauderdale and the traffic is always crazy, my friend said its not like that in the bradenton area. Is this true?

What are some neighborhoods that are in between lWR and Sarasota that are nice with good schools? We will be renting so our max is no more than $1500.

That area near Bee Ridge and 41 is closer to South Sarasota. Below Bee Ridge is considered South of the Trail. Some of the single family home developments near there that currently have rentals up to $1500 per month are Bahama Heights, Philippi Gardens, South Gate, and Tamaron.

The drive from LWR to Bee Ridge Rd/South Trail is only about 10-12 miles with half of that being I-75.

How is traffic on 75 overall, is it like most cities during rush hour traffic?

Unless there's an accident, there's never really congestion "traffic" like you would see in a major city. The road is certainly full at rush hour, but 75 typically moves fairly well. The bulk of the traffic you'll run into is off of the highway!
