We are planning a move to Sarasota from Michigan and I could use some help regarding nursing salaries. I don't need exact numbers, but a range for a BSN would be helpful. My wife's degree is from the University of Michigan. She is interested in Venice Regional, Doctor's, SMH, etc....She has rehab and cardio experience, about 2-3 years exp. Thanks.

I would suggest contacting some of the local hospital human resources departments to see about salary ranges. You can check their websites for job postings too.
Sarasota Memorial Hospital
1700 Tamiami Trail Sarasota , FL 941.917.9000

Doctors Hospital of Saraosta
5731 Bee Ridge Road Sarasota, FL 941.342.1100

Venice Reagonal Medical Center

I have also been checking out the job market for RN's in the Sarasota area, and it doesn't look good! Sarasota Memorial Hospital gives a hourly range starting at $21.33/hour. I think Blake Memorial might pay a little more, but I'm not sure. I don't know if the BSN makes much of a difference. Good luck, and if you find any good news please share!
Thanks

Do you currently live in Sarasota? Not many jobs listed for nurses right now and the salary estimates are hard to get. I am hoping someone who is a nurse will clarify a bit as well. Doctor's hospital is union now, so I would expect them to publish their salary levels because they are fixed and based on seniority. (at least they are in Michigan)

Thanks for replying.
