We are planning a trip in July to house hunt . We will be relocating to Sarasota . Can anyone recommend a place for us to stay at . I was thinking either the Helmsley or Holiday Inn Lido beach. ? Looking for something that is close to beaches and Armand Circle ? family friendly.

Go into the VRBO website and find a condo rental. During that time of the year you should fine something cheap. Anywhere from $600-$1000 for a week.

I've had friends and family stay at both the Helmsley and Holiday Inn on Lido over the years. Both got good reviews, but the Holiday Inn is much closer to Lido beach and St. Armands circle.

Holiday Inn on Lido is great because you can walk across the street to the beach or St. Armand's. They have a decent restaurant with great views on the top floor, too.

We LOVE the Holiday Inn, Lido Key.....so convenient! Totally walkable to St. Armands....we park our car and never move it until it's time to go home!!! Better restaurants are in St. Armand's Circle....try Columbia...really good! And, Crab and Fin is great, too! Cha Cha Coconuts is great for beer and wings!

I second the Holiday Inn-we stayed there once and the customer service was very good. It was also very convenient. The Lido Key Beach Club is nice too, but isn't as close to your interests. We stayed at bothbut preferred theHoliday Inn...
