We don't have the smell in North Port either, except when someone's septic is being pumped out. That thankfully isn't a long lasting thing.

Is there any reason that you are aware of??...is there a treatment center nearby??.......the head of Sarasota County said he went there and could not smell anything...well, YA...it is intermittent!!.......They "jetted" out the line but said there was nothing impeding flow. Next step is to install a hydrogen sulfide meter to measure and record times of the stink.

To say this is disappointing is an understatement...............

No...in fact when we viewed the home, one realtor told us it was that.....but we are only allowed to irrigate Tu and Thurs and this happens ALL times of the day every day and there is a very distinct different smell between sewage and the sulphur smell in the well water used in irrigation......a most definite difference, trust me!

I wonder if there are odors present in the areas with the new vaccuum sewers.
This is an older development from the 80's and from what the Sarasota County person told me, there have been no updates, which IMO could be part of the issue.

Default still a problem?

We realize this is an old thread, but we were considering buying in Deer Creek now, and were wondering if anyone is aware if there is a continuing odor problem?
