I don't understand, I know everyone has their own opinion about places, but someone said they looked up crime rates on crimemapping.com or something like that, and according to that site, the crime was super high. What the heck, this is a great town for me, but is it even safe, and is it worth living there? Also they say Brandenton is the same way. Why are they saying this?

Crime in Florida is typically segregated unlike other parts of the country where there can be block by block differences in neighborhoods. Sarasota and Bradenton (not Brandenton) are fine in areas you most likely would want to live in, though they don't fulfill your criteria (once again) of being "youthful" (criteria on other thread).

It can't possibly be right, or at least not up to date. It shows nothing where I live either. I read the local paper and know better. While crime here is certainly not that bad, it does exist.
