Not much in North Port for night life. Have to go to Port Charlotte. Look at the web sites. They have bands, wing nites, trivia contests, karaoke, etc.

you might want to check out punta gorda. just riding thru it looks like it has more night life. there is a good bar by the name of the ice house. kind of an irish pub sports bar with a great selection of beers. got to tripadvisor.com and search around.

Dolphin fans?
I'm a die hard Miami Dolphin Fan and hope that the local tv stations carry Dolphin games. I'd hate to be stuck with 2 limited options like we do in NYC. I figure there's the Bucs, Jags and Fins on the tube but what happens when they play at the same time? Is satellite or sports bars my only options?
