Having two small children, news of this park is very exciting. We have been using the park area at the Y on Potter Park, which is great, but not all that convenient, really.
This park sounds like it will be awesome:
"This park will provide recreational amenities such as nature trails, access to the Legacy Trail, a community garden, picnic areas, wildlife observation opportunities, a picnic shelter, restroom and an open play field ..."
Based on the plans in the link, it is hard to tell exactly where access points will be, and living in the Hamptons, you can imagine we are hoping for easy access. I doubt we could be that lucky, but we can hope.
Aside from that, this is looking like an excellent alternative to what currently exists. Working in the Legacy Trail was a great idea, and the Garden Project aspect of it looks great.
Can't hurt property values, either.
