I could not agree more. Not only is it required for permitting, only licensed trades people can get insurance to protect your home (plumbing, electrical) should an accident reference their work occur.

Following this advice, one could have perfectly up to code new wiring and plumbing have to be torn out because they were installed in inadequate framing. Get a licensed General or Building contractor in addition to all trades.
