a college friend is now in curriculum with Sarasota school board...they are good schools by FLA standards, but are now in cut-back mode....literacy coaches have been laid off, librarians will probably be going too, money being lost to charter schools, tnhere are budget deficits that will require further cuts...but it is true, as another poster said, that the best part of education is what happens in the home, not at the school...those who want to learn and have the ability to learn, WILL learn....

Same in Manatee, some music departments need like 10 grand to stay afloat.

We are leaning towards a private school called Out the Door academy, we are looking to build in LWR and coming down down for a tour in June, if anybody knows anything on private schools that would be appreciated. Private schools is not a Definete just want to look at them and make an informed decision. Thanks
