My son and DIL are parents of triplets and I have been asked to come live with them. My home in Missouri is now on the market and I will be moving to the Sarasota/Venice area hopefully with my 7 yr. old Yorkie. I say hopefully because their rental does not allow pets and I do not want to find her another home as already I am her 5th home in 6 yrs. She has provided me with quite a bit of comfort and company since my husband passed away.
Anyway, does anyone know how I could go about searching for pet friendly rentals in this area??? We will need 4 bedrooms and 3 baths. I would even be interested in a rental with a 'Mother-In-Laws' suite or something similar. Looking forward to helping with the 15 mo. old baby girls!!! Thank you...

Like people have stated in other posts - call the owner up and explain how well behaved and clean your pets are and they will probably rent to you - that's what my husband did - we have a large dog but she is housetrained well and mostly sleeps all day - its worth a shot.

Also check on Craigslist....they now have "Pets OK" searchable. Just go to the county tax collector website to make sure the person renting the house is the owner of it - and never rent anything without seeing it in person inside and out, first.
