You're making me feel sorry for myself, LOL. I love cold and snow. It snowed a little in Chicago today, but I keep hoping we get a blizzard soon.

We believe you. A fair number of us have lived through that at one time or another in our lives. I did 13 years time in the upper mid west. I remember the slushy, freezing, salty Hells. The heating bills have faded from my mind.

And no area escapes rampant flu. I was shocked that the flu season was as bad in SoCal as it was in Indiana and Ohio. Warm climate flu just lacks the insult to injury aspect when you go outside.

Someone set me straight if I am wrong. Is there rampant flu in Sarasota?

Flu usually shows up in the elementary schools each winter, then gets spread around.

I lived from 18 years of age to 36 in upstate NY, the Utica area. I know cold. When I was young & healthy it was one thing, but I couldn't do it now.

One thing I really couldn't bear up there was the lack of sun all winter & fall. Winter is very long up there, and every place else I've lived, you get some sun in winter. Not in upstate NY.
