Looking for a local moving company. Any suggestions on who is good and who to avoid?

Want professionals that know what they are doing that show up on time, don't damage things, don't rip you off, etc. South Sarasota county.

We hunted long, and finally settled on Two Guys and A Truck; it was the Ft Myers based operation of the franchise. The 'estimator' was the hub of the lady that owned the franchise. He was thorough, clear, and overestimated a tad, he said 'on purpose', so there would be no surprises.

The crew showed up on time, loaded in the time allotted, drove from Naples to our new North Venice house, unloaded all, and we were pleased with their service and performance. (An 85 mile move...)

Only slight downside is they want you to pack nearly everything you can in boxes; they only take unboxed stuff that is big, eg beds, dresser, furniture, et al.

The actual charge was a few hundred under the estimator's quote, and nearly a thou under the next best quote we got.
Anecdotal, but worth a look, imo.

I used 2 men and a truck and my parents did also great service. My parents have a lot of antiques also. Not one thing scratched or broken very reasonable price.

We used "Stronger" for several moves. The owner is "Ruben" he was acutally here to be a professional baseball player.

They were cheaper than" 2 men" and they did a great job and nothing was missing or broke. They were very professional everytime and showed up on time! I highly recommend them. 941-447-9715

We used Martin Hudnak of Martin's Movers out of St. Pete.

They did an excellent job and were very reasonable. Moved me (two bedroom condo) from Sarasota to Fort Lauderdale for $1000.
