Venice taxes only apply to real estate that is within the city limits of Venice. This is the Island of Venice and some areas off the island. There are many properties with a Venice address that are off island but outside city limits.
Just another thing to evaluate if living inside/outside city limits matters to a buyer.

Below are some links where you can read more about Venice. There are older sections in Venice in flood zones and there are some newer communities. There is just about any type of living such as condos, mobile homes, villas, single family homes. There are a lot of deed restricted communities. They have great beaches and a nice downtown walkable area with events, shopping and restaurants. The traffic gets quite heavy in the winter when the snow birds are here. They have good schools.
