The pair of Osprey that built a nest on top of a light post [nearest to Cattlemen] in the parking lot of Walmart on Cattlemen Rd south of Bee Ridge last year are back. Nest has been rebuilt. Seems they were not bothered by 24/7 traffic right below their nest.

Ospreys mate for life and return to rebuild the prior year's nest each year. Hopefully you'll continue to see them every year- as long as the light post is there.

There is an Osprey couple that builds a nest each year on the top of a light post in the parking lot of the Sarasota Square mall, by the NW entrance of Sears. They seem to ignore the traffic and people.
