My husband had surgery there in late March. He was there for 3 days and everyone was very professional and very caring. We were a little concerned with some of the problems they had with Medicare. I was impressed with their attention to cleanliness. I know that sounds odd, but he had had a procedure up North and these folks in Venice were much better in being sure to use the Purell dispenser and putting on gloves for everything.

There is another hospital nearby called Sarasota Memorial - has a better reputation than Venice and I found it a great hospital - I have heard complaints about Venice Hospital but have never been there myself so the best thing for you to do would be to Google it.

I was in the ER there early this year and had no complaints, they were effiecent and very competent. I did pick a physicians group the uses both Venice and Sarasota Memorial.
