First up, Freddy's is opening on Lockwood Ridge & University Parkway, in the parking lot of Detweilers in the old KFC building. The building was mostly knocked down and completely renovated. Their signs are up, and they are finishing up construction inside. There's already a location on
SR-70 & I-75 on the Northwest side in the Lowes parking lot. Delicious burgers, too!

Next, Culvers is opening a few more locations. One on
SR-64 & I-75 in front of Wal-Mart. Construction just began. There is another new location that is open now on University & Tuttle area.

Last but not least, Burger & Beer Joint is opening up, finally, at
University Town Center on the back side across from Kona. Their soft opening is this week, and their grand opening is April 22nd. If you like craft beers they'll have a lot there. This is their first Sarasota location.

Awesome. There's always a burger in my system somewhere. Freddy's is looking good. Still hard to beat 5 Guys though, IMO.

Ben, there is a Culvers under construction in front of Walmart at Highway 70 and I-75. Is there one at 64 also?

Has anyone tried Freddy's? We've been there a few times but no more. The burgers are essentially burnt grease patties. I thought we just got unlucky the first couple of times but after the third, I decided that was it.

Yup! That is the only one I've been to, I dont know of any other locations close by. It's delicious.
Culvers, on the other hand, I dont care for at all, but my wife enjoys them.
